By creating an account, clicking to accept these Terms or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
If the law where you live gives you rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited by contract, nothing in these Terms removes or restricts those rights.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the dating and matchmaking features of inwali. The Service is intended only for adults.
By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to enter into this agreement and are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Service.
You must not misrepresent your age, identity or eligibility. If we reasonably believe that an account is being used by a person under 18, we may restrict or remove that account and take appropriate safety measures.
Protecting children is a condition of using inwali.
Child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), trafficking, sextortion and any activity intended to facilitate the exploitation of a child are strictly prohibited.
We may immediately restrict or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records where lawful, remove prohibited material and make reports to appropriate authorities where required by law.

You agree to provide information that is accurate, current and reasonably complete. You must not create an account using another person's identity or provide materially false information about yourself.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials, verification codes and devices used to access your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
Unless we expressly permit otherwise, you may maintain only the number and type of accounts reasonably required to use the Service as intended.
Purpose of inwali
inwali is designed to help eligible adults discover and communicate with other users who may be interested in a relationship and, where applicable, to involve trusted family members or other designated support persons in that process.
inwali does not guarantee that you will meet, communicate with, become engaged to, marry or form any other relationship with another user. Compatibility, profile suggestions, matches and recommendations are not guarantees of suitability or outcome.
Family Members, Guardians and Support Persons
Certain features may allow a user to nominate a father, guardian, family member or other trusted person to participate in parts of the relationship process.
If you accept such a role, you must accurately represent your identity and relationship to the relevant user and must use the Service honestly, respectfully and only for its intended purpose.
A support or guardian feature provided by inwali is a product feature only. It does not create a legal guardianship, fiduciary relationship, agency relationship or professional duty on the part of inwali.
User Safety and Meeting Other People
Interacting with people online and meeting people in person involves risk. You are responsible for using reasonable judgment and taking appropriate precautions when communicating with or meeting another user.
If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact the emergency services applicable to your location. inwali is not an emergency, safeguarding or law-enforcement service.
Identity, Verification and Background Information
We may provide profile, photo, identity, account or other verification features. A verification indicator means only that the particular verification process described by us was completed. It is not an endorsement of a person or a guarantee that all information supplied by that person is accurate.
You should not assume that inwali has performed criminal, financial, identity or other background checks on a user unless we expressly state that a particular check has been performed.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use inwali to:
- ✓harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse or exploit another person;
- ✓engage in unlawful discrimination, hatred or abusive conduct based on a protected characteristic;
- ✓impersonate another person or create a materially false or misleading profile;
- ✓defraud, deceive, scam or financially exploit another user;
- ✓solicit money, investments or financial assistance through deceptive or abusive means;
- ✓distribute malware, malicious code, spam or unauthorised advertising;
- ✓scrape, harvest, crawl, copy or systematically collect user information without permission;
- ✓upload unlawful, infringing, sexually exploitative or otherwise prohibited content;
- ✓facilitate exploitation, trafficking, sexual services, child sexual abuse or other unlawful activity.
User Content
"User Content" includes profile information, photographs, biographies, preferences, messages and other content that you submit to the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant inwali a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt and otherwise process that content only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve and provide the Service and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your User Content and that our permitted use of it will not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.
Moderation, Reporting and Blocking
We may review, restrict, remove, disable or limit access to User Content or accounts where we reasonably believe this is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, investigate reports, preserve the integrity of the Service or prevent harm.
Users may be able to report content or accounts and block other users. We may investigate reports but cannot guarantee that every report will result in removal or suspension.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate information about certain moderation decisions and any available method of review or appeal.
Other Users
Users are responsible for their own statements, conduct and decisions. We do not control what users do outside the Service and cannot guarantee the truthfulness, intentions, character, conduct or compatibility of another user.
You remain responsible for deciding whether, when and how to interact with another user.
Privacy and Personal Information
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully before using inwali.
You must not collect, disclose, publish or misuse another user's personal information except where that person has permitted it or applicable law otherwise allows it.
Free Access, Paid Features and Subscriptions
inwali may currently make some or all features available without charge. Free availability is not a promise that every feature will remain free indefinitely.
We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. Before you purchase anything, we will clearly display the applicable price and material purchasing information.
Where a subscription renews automatically, the purchase screen will clearly explain the price, billing frequency, renewal terms and how to cancel before you agree to purchase.
If you purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play, payment, billing, cancellation and certain refund processes may be administered by the relevant platform and may also be subject to its terms.
Any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund or digital-content or digital-service rights available to you under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, the Service and its software, branding, interfaces, designs, graphics, text, logos, databases and other proprietary material are owned by or licensed to inwali and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
Prohibited Technical Activity
You must not reverse engineer, circumvent security measures, interfere with the Service, gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, probe our systems without permission, use automated bots to access the Service, scrape user profiles or exploit the Service in a manner that materially harms us, our infrastructure or our users.
Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service and may request account deletion using the methods we make available.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe a user has materially breached these Terms, created a safety or security risk, engaged in fraud or unlawful activity, repeatedly violated our rules, or where suspension is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Service or comply with law.
Where appropriate and legally required, we may give notice of the reason for an account restriction or termination and provide an available review process. We may act without advance notice where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, security or legal compliance.
Service Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, add, remove or discontinue features from time to time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or uninterrupted.
Where a change materially affects paid services or your legal rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required by applicable law.
No Professional Advice
Information or features available through inwali are not legal, religious, medical, financial, psychological or other professional advice. You should obtain appropriate independent advice where needed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, or that every user, profile, statement, recommendation, match or communication will be accurate, authentic, appropriate or suitable for you.
Nothing in this section excludes warranties, remedies or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the paragraph above and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, inwali will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms, losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or business losses suffered by a person using the Service wholly or mainly for business purposes.
We are not responsible for another user's independent acts or omissions merely because you first encountered that person through the Service, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, if you use the Service for commercial purposes or intentionally engage in unlawful conduct, infringement, fraud or a material breach of these Terms, you agree to reimburse inwali for reasonable losses and costs directly resulting from that conduct.
This provision does not require a consumer to indemnify us where doing so would be unfair or prohibited by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites, payment providers, app stores or other services. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for a third party's independent products or services, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes to the Service, law, safety requirements or our business.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued to you.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
Subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings elsewhere, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms.
General Terms
If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Our failure to enforce a provision immediately does not mean that we permanently waive our right to enforce it.
These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement between you and inwali relating to your use of the Service.
